Special Walk

Today we did something very special...

We took a special walk to mail our letters to Santa!
Yesterday we wrote letters with our big buddies, and today we went to mail our letters.

Postcards for Peace Response

You might remember the post from October about our Postcards for Peace. If you don't remember, click here to see that post.

Yesterday we received a response from our soldiers. We mailed our postcards to Baghdad, Iraq.

This is the response we received:

Hello Mrs. Jackson,

We are a small team of Canadian Armed Forces deployed in the Middle East. We just received your students post cards and letter and would like to express our deepest thanks for brightening our day. Unfortunately we'll miss Christmas at home again this year so it's always nice to get little things from back home. Please extend our thanks to your students and faculty for taking the time to make these for us.

We were very excited to receive a letter. The Armed Forces members also sent us a photo of their team!! If you are in our classroom, take a look at the front of our room at our map. We posted their photo near our map so we can see where the soldiers currently are and remember to pray for them.

There were 9 men in the photo they sent us.
Please keep these men in your prayers.

Agribition

On Thursday November 24, our Kindergarten class went to Agribition!!

After we got back from Agribition, we talked about what the favourite parts were from the day.

Here are some of the favourite parts from the day:
- seeing the cows
- seeing the sheepdogs herding sheep
- petting a horse
- seeing a turkey
- seeing brand new baby chicks
- petting a kitten
- petting a goat
- getting a free sucker to eat
- getting a free CN foam train
- the bus ride
- seeing the cow milking demonstration
and many more!

Take a look at some of the photos below.
Location names or faces are blacked out if they are not in our class.
Also, thank you to all our parent chaperones who joined us! Thank you also to the chaperones who took photos and sent them to me. I appreciate it!

This is how much milk 1 cow produces at 1 milking. Cows are milked every 12 hours.

The smell was strong for some students! Many students were plugging their noses!
