iPad Centre

We opened another new centre today: 

The iPad Centre.

We had a little discussion about digital literacy. This basically means that we need to be smart and thinking when using technology or tablets. We discussed (as a class) the amount of time that should be spent on a tablet during a day at Kindergarten. The students came up with 5 minutes. Luckily, I have timers for 5 minutes. 

We discussed that if you spend too much time on a tablet you might get a headache or your eyes might get sore. This isn't good for a healthy body. 

Now when students go the iPad centre, they flip the 5 minute timer and choose a literacy game to play. When the time is up, they switch centres to give their eyes a break.
