We just finished our farm unit! The Kinders did an inquiry farm animal project where they did the following:
1. They chose an animal (horse, pig, cow or sheep).
2. They said everything they knew about that animal before learning about it.
3. Then they chose 1 thing they didn't know about this animal or a question they want to know the answer to.
4. Then some parent volunteers and myself found the answers in books, marked the page number, and had that student figure out the answer by looking at a picture or watching a video.
Then, the students made flaps to hide their answers and decorated their animal. These were posted in the hallway so other kids and parents could learn about farm animals.
