Today we celebrated Groundhog Day!
The Kinders watched a short video on youtube about Groundhogs. Click here to watch it.
Then, we read a book about Phil the Groundhog.
After that, the Kinders practiced being little groundhogs. We took turns pretending we were a groundhog.
The Kinders had to hide in their burrow like a groundhog, sneak out, and if they saw their shadow they ran back in their burrow. Uh oh - 6 more weeks of winter!
If they didn't see their shadow, they came out! That means spring is coming soon!
