| This is the AM class. We didn't get a class photo of the PM class - we ran out of time!! Next time! |
1. Muddy Animal Centre
At this centre, the students learned about the importance of keeping our animals clean. The students played with toy animals in the mud and then practiced washing them off in the soapy water. This centre was a messy centre to be at! The students had a blast!
2. Milking Centre
At this centre the students learned about cows and practiced milking a rubber glove! They had so much fun. Take a look:
3. Playdoh Creation Centre
At this centre the students made play doh creations using plastic farm animal toys.
5. Sensory Play with Tractors and Animals
At this centre the students played with John Deere tractors and plastic farm animals in the sand table.
6. Horseback Riding
At this centre, the students sat on real horse saddles!! They lassoed horses and cows (pictures of horses and cows on pylons) with a hula hoop! Wow!
The afternoon class also did the same thing. The afternoon class was also taught how to barrel race on a horse. We had a horse expert in to help us!
6. Canola Seed
At this centre the students learned about canola seed from a real farmer! She taught us how canola seed turns into canola oil. The students used canola seed and white glue to spell their names!!
7. Farm Animal Bingo
At this centre the students played Bingo!! When they won, they got a "hay bale" (a mini wheat!!).
8. Balancing Seeds
At this centre the students balanced seeds and straw. They had fun learning which items were heavier and how to balance items on a scale.
And of course we had to have Dirt 'N Worms for snack...
(to go along with our farm theme of course)
Thank you so very much to all the volunteers who helped us today - we could not have done it without you!!!!
THANK YOU!!!
We are going to Agribition on Thursday.
